As a classical, liberal arts school, we love books. Throughout our lives, books have the ability to change us, enlighten us, challenge us, and provide new perspectives. Books allow us to travel backwards or forwards in time, around the world, and into worlds of imagination. For years, parents and students alike have asked us to host a book fair. We do also need to make certain that the books we are putting before our students are those containing the noblest, most beautiful, and most permanent things. It is with great delight that we announce our first ever Beautiful Book Fair!

My own eyes are not enough for me. I will see through those of others. Reality even seen through the eyes of many is not enough. I will see what others have invented…. Literary experience heals the wound, without undermining the privilege of individuality…. In reading great literature I become a thousand men and yet remain myself. Here as in worship, in love and in moral action, and in knowing I transcend myself and am never more myself than when I do.

-C.S. Lewis

The Beautiful Book Fair will feature books from various genres, for various reading levels, in various formats, and at various prices, but all will be of the very highest quality. Click below for a list of available titles.

BEAUTIFUL BOOK FAIR Book SELECTIONS

How to Shop

While the Digital Silent Auction is happening entirely online, the Beautiful Book Fair itself will take place in person throughout the week in the Forum. Students are welcome to bring cash to school to shop themselves during their class’s designated time to visit the Beautiful Book Fair. Please send any money with your students in an envelope clearly labeled with their name so it doesn’t get misplaced.

Parents are also invited to come to school to shop as a family during one of the afternoon and evening windows where we will be able to accept payment with cash or check. See below for the full list of days and times.
