Great Hearts Irving is proud to serve our community in any way we can. While funds are limited, we are committed to providing as much assistance as possible with EduKits (school supplies), uniforms, and Classics to Keep. Families who qualify can also benefit from the federal Free or Reduced Lunch Program (FRL) to provide meals during the school day.
See below for more information about each program.
All families who qualified for financial assistance in the preceding school year, as well as those who qualified after completing the Preliminary Financial Assistance form, will have EduKits ordered for their child(ren) free of charge. These will be delivered to the Upper and Lower School campuses. We will reach out to let you know when they have arrived so that you may pick them up prior to the start of school.
Families who qualify for financial assistance are also eligible to receive vouchers (gift certificates) for use in purchasing school uniforms. We will provide $100 in vouchers for each qualifying student. All vouchers are for Dennis Uniforms and are redeemable online or over the phone. Vouchers will be distributed during the summer months for those who qualify, while supplies last.
PSO also holds an annual Used Uniform Sale during the summer as a low cost option for families.
If you have additional questions or concerns regarding uniform vouchers, please reach out to Gabriel.Zayas@greatheartsirving.org for the Lower School or Joe.Taylor@greatheartsirving.org for the Upper School.
We highly encourage all families to purchase their own copies of our Classics to Keep so that our students can build their own library of literary classics and be able to return to the wisdom and joy contained within in years to come. Most can be acquired at low cost from used booksellers.
If this is not possible for your family, we will gladly provide your child with copies of the texts for use during the school year upon request. Please reach out to Gabriel.Zayas@greatheartsirving.org for the Lower School or Joe.Taylor@greatheartsirving.org for the Upper School for more information.
Families who think they may qualify are encouraged to submit an application for Free or Reduced Meals. You will need your child’s first name and new Student (Customer) ID number. If you do not know your child’s ID number, please email J.W. Taylor, Director of Campus Operations for the Upper School, or Gabriel Zayas, Director of Campus Operations for the Lower School, to receive it.
Please allow 3-7 business days to process your online application. Once eligibility is determined, you will receive an official eligibility determination letter via email.
