Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance for the 2021-2022 School Year

Great Hearts Irving is proud to serve our community in any way we can. While funds are limited, we are committed to providing as much assistance as possible with EduKits (school supplies), uniforms, Classics to Keep, and meals. See below for more information about each program.

EduKits (School Supplies)

Update: Please see this message regarding the arrival of EduKits for children of families who qualify for financial assistance.

All families who qualified for financial assistance in the preceding school year, as well as those who qualified after completing the Preliminary Financial Assistance form, will have EduKits ordered for their child(ren) free of charge. These will be delivered to the Upper and Lower School campuses. We will reach out to let you know when they have arrived so that you may pick them up prior to the start of school.

Families who qualify for financial assistance are also eligible to receive vouchers (gift certificates) for use in purchasing school uniforms. We will provide $100 in vouchers for each qualifying student. All vouchers are for Dennis Uniforms and are redeemable online or over the phone.

Vouchers will be distributed during the summer months for those who qualify, while supplies last.

We will also be holding our annual Used Uniform Sale in mid-July as a low cost option for families. Plans for that event are still being finalized, but do stay tuned for updates.

If you have additional questions or concerns regarding uniform vouchers, please reach out to for the Lower School or for the Upper School.

Classics to Keep

We highly encourage all families to purchase their own copies of our Classics to Keep so that our students can build their own library of literary classics and be able to return to the wisdom and joy contained within in years to come. Most can be acquired at low cost from used booksellers.

If this is not possible for your family, we will gladly provide your child with copies of the texts for use during the school year upon request. Please reach out to for the Lower School or for the Upper School for more information.

Financial Assistance for Meals

While we are delighted that all Great Hearts Irving families will be receiving free meals this school year, we encourage you to submit an application for Free or Reduced Meals for other discounts and benefits to our school if you think you might qualify. That application is available now; apply any time.

You will need your child’s MealTime ID in order to apply. If you did not receive your child’s MealTime ID in an email from Great Hearts Texas on June 30th, please reach out to for Upper School students, or for Lower School students.
