Financial Assistance
Great Hearts Irving is proud to serve our community in any way we can. While funds are limited, we are committed to providing as much assistance as possible with EduKits (school supplies), uniforms, and Classics to Keep. Families who qualify can also benefit from the federal Free or Reduced Lunch Program (FRL) to provide meals during the school day.
See below for more information about each program.
EduKits (School Supplies)
All families who qualified for financial assistance in the preceding school year, as well as those who qualified after completing the Preliminary Financial Assistance form, will have EduKits ordered for their child(ren) free of charge. These will be delivered to the Upper and Lower School campuses. We will reach out to let you know when they have arrived so that you may pick them up prior to the start of school.
Uniforms
We encourage you to take advantage of our PSO’s annual Used Uniform Sale as a low cost option for families. Visit greatheartsirving.org/useduniformsale for details on this year’s sale.
If you have additional questions or concerns regarding uniform vouchers, please reach out to Grant.Beardslee@greatheartstxschools.org for the Lower School or Mary.Connor@greatheartstxschools.org for the Upper School.
Preliminary Financial Assistance for New Families
If you think your family might qualify for financial assistance, the first and most important thing for you to do is to complete a Preliminary Financial Assistance Eligibility form to help us determine if your family qualifies to receive preliminary assistance with EduKits and uniforms in advance of the official free and reduced meals application becoming available later in the summer.
LOWER SCHOOL PRELIMINARY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ELIGIBILITY FORM
In order to receive financial assistance with meals throughout the school year, families will still need to submit an official application for free and reduced lunch once it becomes available. See below for details.
Classics to Keep
We highly encourage all families to purchase their own copies of our Classics to Keep so that our students can build their own library of literary classics and be able to return to the wisdom and joy contained within in years to come. The Lower School is delighted to offer sets of the Classics to Keep for sale to families at a significant discount over retail. Most can also be acquired at low cost from used booksellers.
PURCHASE LOWER SCHOOL CLASSICS TO KEEP
If this is not possible for your family, we will gladly provide your child with copies of the texts for use during the school year upon request. Please reach out to Grant.Beardslee@greatheartstxschools.org for the Lower School or Mary.Connor@greatheartstxschools.org for the Upper School for more information.
