Texas Independence Day Celebration

On March 2, 1836, Texan rebels declared their independence from Mexico. Our seventh-grade students will celebrate during their Texas History classes on Thursday, March 5 and Friday, March 6 with a reading of the Texas Declaration of Independence, an activity, and Tex-Mex food. To sign up to bring snacks, drinks, or supplies, please view your section’s Sign Up Genius link below.

Please note that sections 7A and 7B have 27 students and sections 7C and 7D have 25 students. Food and snacks are preferably Tex-Mex themed, though fruit and veggie trays are welcome. Dairy-free, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are encouraged. Please do not bring any items containing nuts.

Parents can drop off larger, hot dishes before their student’s class at the front desk. Otherwise, the snack, dish, or materials should be something that students can store in their lockers.
