Attention families new to Great Hearts Irving Lower School! We are so delighted to welcome your family into our school community. At Great Hearts Irving Lower School, we have a responsibility to cultivate a school-family partnership rooted in the virtue of friendship. One of the key ways we do that is by creating an atmosphere of magnanimity and welcome. The Ancient Greeks referred to this principle as xenia or “guest-friendship.” The Ancient Romans called it hospitalium. We like to say that, within our school, we have a “spirit of hospitality.”
This year, we are creating an additional opportunity for new families to be welcomed into our school community, receive important information, and have questions answered. New Lower School families should plan to visit campus for New Family Registration:

Families may visit campus any time between 9am and 2pm on July 26th, 27th, or 28th, whichever day and time is most convenient for you.
In addition to finalizing details of your child’s registration, filling out forms for the School Nurse, and receiving important information about uniforms, school supplies, and more, the following Lower School faculty and staff will also be available to answer any questions you might have about your child’s new school:
