Upper School Spring Music Concert

Tuesday, May 7th at 7:00 pm
Doors Open at 6:30 pm
Irving Bible Church

Join us for a beautiful evening of joyful song. You will hear songs from the renaissance period through the modern era. The evening will be filled with sound from composers such as Mendelssohn, Faure, Gregorian chant arrangements, Emily Crocker, Ola Gjeilo, and more! The scholars have put their souls into these pieces this semester,  so please don’t miss out on what will be one of the most memorable nights of the year!

Details for Performing Scholars
Scholars should arrive at the church by 5pm (no later than 5:15pm or scholars may not perform in the concert) wearing their concert black and with their music binders. The dress rehearsal will begin promptly at 5:30 pm. It would be prudent for scholars to have a light dinner beforehand. They can bring a water bottle.

Concert Black Dress Code
All performing students must be in concert black, meaning every article of clothing is solid black.

Ladies
can either wear a black dress that covers the knee or black pants or skirt (that covers the knee) with a black blouse. All blouses must be of modest neckline and the shoulders need to be covered. If opting for a skirt or dress, opaque, black tights must be worn. Black flats are preferable, as heels can cause fatigue during performances. If black heels are worn, the heel must not be more than one inch.

Gentlemen
need to wear black pants, a wrist-length, button up black shirt, black leather belt, black leather shoes, and black socks. All buttons must be fastened for performances. Solid black tie and sports coat are optional.

No jewelry
is allowed for performances, with the exception of ladies’ earrings. Earrings must be in accordance with the Great Hearts dress code.
